Ranch Dressing

Ranch dressing is a popular creamy salad dressing and dip that originated in the United States. It is typically made from a base of buttermilk or sour cream mixed with mayonnaise and various seasonings such as garlic, onion, and herbs like parsley, chives, and dill. Ranch dressing is commonly used as a dip for vegetables and chicken wings, and is also a popular topping for salads and sandwiches.

YIELD: Makes about 24 servings, each with 1 gram of carbohydrates, a trace of fiber, and 1 gram of protein.

 

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped green onions
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne powder or a few drops of Tabasco
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

 

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Combine all ingredients well, and store in the refrigerator, in a container with a tight-fitting lid.
