INGREDIENTS:

  • 220 g frozen shortcrust pastry pie case
  • 4 eggs
  • ⅓ cup (80 ml) thickened cream
  • 2 green onions, finely sliced
  • 1 tbsp. chopped parsley (optional)
  • 1 ⅔ cups (150 g) Perfect Italiano™ 4 Cheese Melt
  • 150 g chopped or shredded cold BBQ chicken

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Set the stage for your culinary journey by arranging the oven shelf to the lower middle position and preheating the oven to 200°C (180°C fan-forced).
  2. Place the frozen shortcrust pastry pie case onto a metal baking tray and give it a head start by baking for 5 minutes. Once done, remove the pastry case from the oven and set it aside, allowing it to cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, thickened cream, finely sliced green onions, and chopped parsley (if using). Introduce ¾ of the Perfect Italiano™ 4 Cheese Melt to the mixture and combine until the ingredients meld harmoniously. Add the chopped or shredded cold BBQ chicken, letting its savory allure infuse the mixture.
