Coleslaw Italiano

My sister makes this recipe, and it’s quite good.

YIELDS: 8 servings, each with 3 grams of carbohydrates and 1 gram of fiber, for a total of 2 grams of usable carbs and 1 gram of protein.

 

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup Italian Vinaigrette Dressing

 

ITALIAN VINAIGRETTE DRESSING:

  • 1/3 cup wine vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon basil
  • 1 or 2 drops Tabasco
  • 2/3 cu p extra-virgin olive oil

 

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Dressing: Put all the ingredients in a container with a tight-fitting lid, and shake well.
  2. Coleslaw: Toss the cabbage with the Italian dressing, and serve.
