  • 4 slices deli Swiss cheese (about 3 to 4 inches square)

  • 2 teaspoons marjoram
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Begin by splitting each chicken breast horizontally almost in two, leaving one edge intact. This will create a pocket for the filling.
  2. Lay the opened chicken breasts flat and sprinkle them with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Place a slice of deli ham on top of each chicken breast.
  4. Cut the deli Swiss cheese slices in half and place one half atop each chicken breast. Set aside the remaining halves of the cheese slices.
  5. Carefully roll up each chicken breast to enclose the cheese and ham, securing them with toothpicks.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, marjoram, and paprika to create a flavorful rub.
  7. Rub the olive oil mixture all over the outsides of the chicken breasts.
  8. Place the prepared chicken breasts in the air fryer basket.
  9. Set the air fryer temperature to 360°F and cook the chicken breasts for 15 to 20 minutes, or until they are well done and the juices run clear.
  10. Once cooked, remove all toothpicks. For safety, place the chicken breasts on a plate to remove the toothpicks before immediately returning them to the air fryer basket.
  11. Place a half slice of Swiss cheese on top of each chicken breast and cook for an additional minute or so, just until the cheese has melted.
