You don’t have to make a batch of homemade vinaigrette every time you want a steak; store-bought will work just as well here. Steak, in your preferred cut and quantity.
YIELD: Assume 1 pound of steak is 2 servings, each with about 1 gram of carbohydrates, maximum, no fiber, and 33 grams of protein.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 cup vinaigrette dressing for each pound of steak
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Put your steak in a 1-quart zipper-lock bag, and pour the vinaigrette dressing over it. Let the steak marinate for at least 15 minutes, or leave it all day, if you have the time.
- When you’re ready to cook your steak, remove it from the bag, discard the marinade, and broil or grill it, as you prefer.
