Whether you’re in need of a satisfying lunch, a light dinner, or an on-the-go snack, these wraps are a versatile option that comes together effortlessly. Whole wheat wraps not only add a nutty flavor but also boost the nutritional value. The air fryer provides the perfect finishing touch, gently warming the wraps and melting the cheese for a scrumptious treat.

Yield: 4 servings

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cooking Time: 3–7 minutes per batch

Total Time: 16–24 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 large whole wheat wraps
  • ½ cup hummus
  • 16 thin slices deli turkey
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 cup fresh baby spinach (adjust to taste)

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Begin by assembling the wraps. Take each whole wheat wrap and spread approximately 2 tablespoons of hummus evenly, leaving about a half-inch border along the edges.
  2. Arrange 4 slices of deli turkey on top of the hummus layer.
  3. Place 2 slices of provolone cheese on each wrap, ensuring even coverage.
  4. Add about ¼ cup of fresh baby spinach to each wrap, or adjust the amount according to your preference.
  5. Carefully roll up each wrap, starting from one side and folding in the edges as you go. There’s no need to seal the ends.
  6. Preheat the air fryer to 360°F.
  7. Depending on the size of your air fryer basket, you can cook all 4 wraps at once or in two batches. If cooking in batches, place 2 wraps in the basket, and stack the remaining 2 wraps on top, perpendicular to the first two.
  8. Cook the wraps at 360°F for 3 to 4 minutes. This will warm the filling and begin melting the cheese.
  9. If desired, you can continue cooking the wraps for an additional 2 to 3 minutes to achieve a slightly crispy texture.
  10. Repeat the cooking process for the remaining wraps, if necessary.

TIP:

  • To make these wraps even heartier, consider adding sliced vegetables like cucumbers, bell peppers, or tomatoes to the filling. You can also drizzle with a touch of olive oil or your favorite dressing before rolling up for added flavor.

With their satisfying combination of flavors and textures, these Turkey-Hummus Wraps are the perfect solution for a quick and nutritious meal. Enjoy them warm from the air fryer for an added touch of crispy goodness, and customize the ingredients to suit your tastes. Whether you’re enjoying a solo lunch or serving up a family-friendly snack, these wraps are sure to become a go-to option in your kitchen repertoire.
