Strawberry sauce is perfect over Simple Vanilla Ice Cream or Rich Vanilla Bean Ice Cream made into a banana split, or used to top a lemony sorbet. It is equally good added into your morning oatmeal.
INGREDIENTS | YIELD: 2 CUPS
- 1½ pounds fresh strawberries, hulled
- ⅓ cup sugar
- 1½ teaspoons fresh lemon juice
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Place all ingredients in a food processor and purée until smooth.
- Press through a mesh strainer to remove seeds, if desired.
- Refrigerate, covered, until needed, up to 3 days.
