Hot Fudge Sauce

Smooth, shiny, and ever so delicious, this Hot Fudge Sauce will transport you back to a time when the world was a little slower and ice cream shops were the place to be on a hot summer day.

INGREDIENTS | YIELD: 2 CUPS

  • ¼ cup salted butter, cold
  • ⅔ cup heavy cream
  • 1½ tablespoons corn syrup
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 6 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Cut the cold butter into pieces, then add to a saucepan with the cream, corn syrup, and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Allow to boil for 2–3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate chips until smooth.
  3. Once chocolate sauce is smooth, stir in vanilla extract.

Storing Hot Fudge Sauce
Kept covered, this Hot Fudge Sauce can be kept refrigerated for 2 weeks. It will thicken while cold, so rewarm it in a microwave for a few seconds before reusing.
