Smooth, shiny, and ever so delicious, this Hot Fudge Sauce will transport you back to a time when the world was a little slower and ice cream shops were the place to be on a hot summer day.
INGREDIENTS | YIELD: 2 CUPS
- ¼ cup salted butter, cold
- ⅔ cup heavy cream
- 1½ tablespoons corn syrup
- ½ cup sugar
- 6 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Cut the cold butter into pieces, then add to a saucepan with the cream, corn syrup, and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Allow to boil for 2–3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate chips until smooth.
- Once chocolate sauce is smooth, stir in vanilla extract.
Storing Hot Fudge Sauce
Kept covered, this Hot Fudge Sauce can be kept refrigerated for 2 weeks. It will thicken while cold, so rewarm it in a microwave for a few seconds before reusing.
