Yield: 8 rolls
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 8–10 minutes per batch
Total Time: 31–35 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

  • Parchment paper
  • 3 ounces low-fat cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon low-fat sour cream or plain yogurt (not Greek yogurt)
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon orange extract
  • 1 can (8 count) organic crescent roll dough
  • ¼ cup chopped walnuts
  • ¼ cup dried cranberries
  • ¼ cup shredded sweetened coconut
  • Butter-flavored cooking spray

Orange Glaze:

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice
  • ¼ teaspoon orange extract
  • Dash of salt

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Start by cutting a circular piece of parchment paper slightly smaller than the bottom of your air fryer basket. Set this parchment paper aside for later use.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the low-fat cream cheese, low-fat sour cream or yogurt, sugar, pure vanilla extract, and orange extract. Stir the mixture until it’s perfectly smooth.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 300°F, getting it ready for the baking magic that’s about to take place.
  4. Carefully separate the crescent roll dough into 8 triangles. Take the cream cheese mixture and divide it equally among the triangles. Starting from the wide end of each triangle, gently spread the cheese mixture, leaving about 1 inch of space from the point.
  5. Sprinkle the chopped walnuts and dried cranberries evenly over the cheese mixture on each triangle.
  6. Now, roll up the triangles starting from the wide end, and as you do, sprinkle a bit of the shredded sweetened coconut over the rolls. Lightly press the coconut in to ensure it sticks. Give the tops of the rolls a quick spray of butter-flavored cooking spray.
  7. Line your air fryer basket with the circular parchment paper you prepared earlier. Then, place 4 rolls on top, making sure they’re evenly spaced for optimal cooking.
  8. Allow the rolls to bake in the air fryer for 8 to 10 minutes, keeping an eye on them as they transform into a gorgeous golden brown and cook through.
  9. For the next batch of 4 rolls, repeat steps 7 and 8. You can use the same piece of parchment paper for this batch.
  10. In a small bowl, combine the ingredients for the orange glaze – powdered sugar, orange juice, orange extract, and a dash of salt. Give them a good stir until the glaze is smooth and tantalizing.
  11. Once the rolls are out of the air fryer and still warm, drizzle the orange glaze over them. Watch as it creates a mouthwatering finishing touch that perfectly complements the indulgent sweetness of the rolls.

Transform your mornings into a sumptuous affair with these Glazed Orange Rolls. From the tangy zest of oranges to the rich sweetness of the rolls themselves, this recipe is a testament to the joy of culinary exploration. With a balanced blend of flavors and a touch of elegance, these rolls are a treat that deserves a special place on your breakfast table.
