If you have access to them, wild blueberries are the perfect variety to use in this recipe, but farmers’ market fresh blueberries would be just as delicious. If purchasing berries from the grocer, take care to make sure they are well ripened.
INGREDIENTS | YIELD: 2 CUPS
- 1¼ pounds fresh blueberries, rinsed
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1½ teaspoons fresh lemon juice
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Place all ingredients in a food processor and purée until smooth.
- Refrigerate, covered, until needed, up to 3 days.
