No sundae will ever be complete without a dollop (or two!) of sweetened whipped cream. It mellows out a rich flavor, or adds just the right amount of sweetness if needed.
INGREDIENTS | YIELD: 1 CUP
⅔ cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons confectioner’s sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Piping Whipped Cream
Why not be fancy? Disposable plastic piping bags are available at most craft stores and many big-box stores. Simply buy a few of the bags and a metal star tip (also available with the bags). Insert the tip as directed, fill the bag with the cream, and pipe away!
DIRECTIONS:
1. Whip the cream to soft peaks.
2. Add in the confectioner’s sugar and vanilla, and whip until well combined. Do not overbeat.
3. Add to sealed container (or piping bag). Keep refrigerated until needed.
