Employ a metal dough scraper or a chef’s knife to cut each cylinder into 8 equal portions, repeating the process with the second cylinder to yield a total of 16 portions. Shape each portion into a miniature loaf by patting it into an oval shape and then rolling it up from a short side to create a compact cylinder about 4 inches in length.
  3. Arrange the rolls on the prepared baking sheet, placing them in two rows of 8 with their long sides touching. Brush the tops of the rolls with a coating of melted butter. Cover the rolls loosely with plastic wrap and allow them to rise at room temperature until they have doubled in bulk. This process typically takes around 45 minutes.
  4. About 20 minutes before the anticipated baking time, preheat your oven to 375ºF (190ºC).
