Roast Beef And Gravy Recipe

It is juicy and tender roast beef and the slow cooker method that makes the gravy within the cooker along with roast makes the roast beef even more juicy and irresistible.

With simple ingredients and minimal efforts you will end up having such a hearty meal that is loved by all. Enjoy this remarkable roast and gravy with mashed potatoes or a side salad. It also goes great with roasted veggies.

Preparation time: 5 minutes      cook time: 8 hours

Ingredients:

  • 3 pounds boneless beef roast.
  • 2-3 garlic cloves
  • Salt-to taste
  • Pepper-to taste
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1/3 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon each of seasonings of your choice such as garlic powder, paprika etc.
  • 2 cans of condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 onion soup mix

Instructions:

  • Cut the roast in half and dry it with paper towel. Place the roast in slow cooker.
  • In a small bowl, combine salt and pepper along with seasonings and mix.
  • Season the roast with this mixture on all sides.
  • Now pour in beef broth, mushroom soup and onion soup mix. Stir it. These will end up in a gravy in which beef roast is soaked.
  • Add in garlic cloves and bay leaves. Take these out when reaching the final stage.
  • Cover the cooker and cook over low heat for 8 hours.
  • Yes, it is that easy.
  • Check for the tenderness after 8 hours.
  • Dish out and enjoy your roast with gravy.

 

Note: You can also sear the seasoned roast before putting it in slow cooker.
To infuse more flavor generously season the roast.
