Peanut Butter Topping

This is a delicious, peanut buttery treat to top your favorite scoop of homemade ice cream.

INGREDIENTS | YIELD: 2 CUPS

  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ cup water
  • ¾ cup peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Stir the sugars, salt, and water in a small saucepan over high heat. Boil for 2 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter and vanilla until the texture becomes silky.
  3. Allow to cool to room temperature. Store in refrigerator, covered, up to 2 weeks.

 

TRY IT IN MILK

  • The next time you crave chocolate milk, try adding a few tablespoons of this Peanut Butter Topping to it. It’s a great twist to the standard chocolate milk! Your kids will love it, too.
