  • 4 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 carrot, sliced
  • 1 cup tomato paste (check for allergen-free options)

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Transfer the cooked ground beef to the slow cooker.
  3. Add beef stock, chopped onion, bay leaf, pepper, sliced celery ribs, shredded cabbage, sliced carrot, tomato paste, and salt to the slow cooker.
  4. Stir all the ingredients together until well combined.
  5. Place the lid on the slow cooker and set it to cook on low heat.
  6. Cook the stew for approximately 4 hours, allowing the flavors to meld together and the cabbage and carrots to become tender.
  7. Once the cooking time is complete, remove the bay leaf from the stew.
