  • Butter for greasing the bucket

PREPARATIONS:

  1. Lightly grease the bread bucket with butter.
  2. In the greased bucket, add the pumpkin purée, eggs, melted butter, and sugar.
  3. Program the bread machine for the Quick/Rapid bread setting and press Start.
  4. During the first fast mixing cycle, which starts about 10 minutes into the cycle, allow the wet ingredients to be mixed by the paddles.
  5. While the wet ingredients mix, in a separate bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, baking soda, ground nutmeg, ground ginger, salt, and a pinch of ground cloves until thoroughly blended.
  6. When the second fast mixing cycle begins, add the dry ingredient mixture to the bucket.
  7. Once the dry ingredients are incorporated into the wet ingredients, scrape down the sides of the bucket to ensure thorough mixing.
  8. Once the baking cycle is complete, carefully remove the bread bucket from the machine.
  9. Allow the baked loaf to cool in the bucket for 5 minutes.
  10. Gently shake the bucket to release the loaf, then turn it out onto a cooling rack to cool completely.
